She enjoys partnering with business executives to provide objective support in analyzing and solving breakdowns in systems and operations across their organizations. Melanie, who now serves as President of the MLC Group, began her career in Washington DC as a CPA with Ernst & Young, where she enjoyed audit roles for large clients such as Lockheed Martin. After founding her own retail venture and developing a management consulting practice for small businesses, Melanie moved on to McKinsey & Company, where she built the finance division for their DC office. She went on to work for several national consulting firms, one, which went public. As a Vice President with JP Morgan, she worked with corporate executives and businesses delivering financial solutions in their Asset Management Division. Before co-founding the MLC Group, Melanie worked as an adjunct faculty and executive business coach, helping corporate executives with management and strategic planning as well as preparing their business for franchise, sale or IPO.
Melanie’s diverse experience includes small business startups, mergers and acquisitions, initial public offering, strategic planning, corporate governance, SEC, FASB and GAAP reporting, board and investor relations, debt and equity financings and executive coaching for both privately owned and publicly held companies.
